JOHN BODKIN | COLOR FISSION
CURATED BY JORDAN FAYE BLOCK
OPENING RECEPTION | FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 6–9PM
Jordan Faye Block is thrilled to present Maryland-based painter, John Bodkin, Color Fission at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center. The exhibition will feature works from John's last couple years in Baltimore, each of which highlight's his use of color and dynamic juxtapositions of pattern and form which make his work highly tactile. John's work feels particularly at home in the Eubie Blake Cultural Center as it is the place of music and dance which radiates a vibrant energy both in the space and in the work that they do. The exhibition runs through Sunday July 28, 2019.
Bodkin's exhibition, Color Fission, opens Saturday June 21 with a Reception from 6–9pm at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center at 847 Howard Street. The gallery hours at E.B.C.C. are Wednesday – Friday 1–6pm & Saturday 11–5pm.

ABOUT JORDAN FAYE BLOCK
Curator, artist and yogi, Jordan Faye Block believes that art is an integral part of life; it changes the perspective of those who engage with it. At Jordan Faye Block, we aim to promote thought-provoking work of Baltimore artists in the heart of the city. What was once know as Jordan Faye Contemporary is now aptly named; Jordan Faye Block.
Over the last 20 years, Ms. Block has curated hundreds of exhibitions, mentoring over 200 artists to improve their confidence, bolstering their knowledge of marketing and presentation of their work and themselves – she continues to expand this to include helping people step into their higher Self. Jordan’s mission is two–fold; as a curator and mentor, to support her artists by curating independent exhibitions and to bring an energetic yoga practice to artists, patrons, and the curious community in her studio Thrive Atelier.
At the studio, we are fully engaged with our artists and collectors placing new works into collections, in addition providing installation and curatorial services. We also hold weekly radiant body and kundalini yoga classes. This mission enables her clients to make beautiful change in their lives, inside and out. She happily lives and works in the Station North Arts District. And if you can’t find her in the studio or at the local coffee house, she’s likely helping her love, Ned Sparrow, at his shop, Station North Books.
