The Practice creates a sense of self-awareness. at times leaving one feeling more focused & grounded. energised & arisen. 

These classes are composed of Asana, Kriyas, Pranayama & Meditaiton. Together they make up The Practice. This energetic yoga that we call the Practice was taught to me by my teachers and mentors Martha McAlpine and Kia Miller.

Kundalini is the spark, the light that comes from within, that enables one to shine brighter. through it's movement, meditation, chanting, and quiet contemplation one may find inner strength, peace & light to carry themselves & those around them out of the darkness. 

The Practice is a blend of Hatha, Tantra, & Kundalini traditions.

 

Demystifying Yoga

FRIDAY @ 12:30pm • 60 MInutes

1. You don't have to get in shape first, to do yoga!
2. We do not twist ourselves into pretzels during this class.
3. You can't touch your toes! That's totally OK!
4. You don't have to participate in strange religious practices to do Yoga.
5. You will breath more deeply, you will sleep better at night, you will feel relaxed, & you may actually have fun doing it!

This class is designed specifically in mind, for the new student who has not been working out for a good bit of time. For the student young or old, who may have tightness in their muscles, or a previous injury and is concerned about re-injuring themselves. We won't let that happen. This is the class for you. For those who are curious about yoga but may think to attend a class they have to be in excellent shape which is not true. In this class, we will move gently, we will find our seat, we will gain confidence and mobility, we will find our breath together. We will find balance together. 

 

Movement & Meditation

Our Movement & Meditation classes come out of the Hatha, Tantra & Kundalini traditions & teachings.

M & M is a great introduction to yoga, basic postures will be taught, along with creating movement of energy through the body via the basic spinal series and other introductory kriyas.

A kriya is a series of actions infused with intelligence.

We will always culminate this class with Pranayama (breathwork) and a guided meditation. 

In a world that moves too fast, that is sometimes superfluously connected – it is in the energy we find in ourselves through practice that one is able to be truly connected to oneself and those around them. 


When Attending our Energetic Yoga Classes:  

Our doors open 20 minutes prior to class, and close 5 minutes prior to the beginning of class as we are located on the 5th floor, please leave time to travel through our building to our studio. There are both stairs and of course an elevator to our space. There is free street parking, as well as a small parking lot adjacent to our building.
